Lisa Smith Jenkins passed away early on the morning of April 24, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Mike, and Krista Rhoades, CNA. 

Lisa had been bedridden for 9 years and died peacefully. 

Born January 3, 1969, she  is survived by her husband Michael A. Jenkins, 2 sons; Christopher Michael Davis and Joshua Davis (Caroline) and 5 Grandchildren; Vanessa, Austin, Brycen, Ellie, and Myles. Also her two sisters; Mona and Amy.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents.  Her mother, Gail Kellum Holloway, father, John Smith, and her brother, John Holloway, as well as her grandparents; Norman Kellum and Emily Kellum.

Lisa came from a large family with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  She was always a hard worker.  She was employed by 7-Eleven for many years, held multiple domestic cleaning positions and in later years worked on the water with her husband. 

The highlight of Lisa’s life was when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord of her life.  She was led in the prayer of salvation by Pastor Richard Whiteheart many years ago at her home. 

She enjoyed spending time outside, although limited, more than you can imagine.  Always wearing a smile, she would be thrilled to see visitors, especially her children and grandchildren.

Lisa will be missed immensely by her wonderful husband Mike, who cared for her diligently and most lovingly all the days of their lives together.

Services will be held May 11, 2024 at Union Baptist Church, 9254 Guinea Rd., Hayes, VA 23072. Visitation with Family at 2pm prior to the Memorial Service at 3pm. Pastor Jared Berry Officiating.
